Since 2003, RLO Consulting has been a trusted partner in helping organizations achieve their goals through expert event production and strategic program execution. Founded by Richard Oleff, who brings decades of experience in promotions, sponsorship sales, and event planning, RLO works with a diverse range of corporate clients to deliver impactful, results-driven experiences. In addition to live events, RLO now offers AI services designed to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and support smarter, more efficient business outcomes.

Richard Oleff founded RLO in 2003, bringing extensive experience in event production, promotions, marketing, and sponsorship sales. His career began with a three-year stint at MDM Group, producing the Chicago Air and Water Show. He then transitioned to broadcast media, serving as On-Premise Special Events Manager for WLUP, WMVP, and WRCX at Evergreen Media Corporation, later becoming Marketing Director for WRCX.
In 1996, Richard ventured into independent projects, managing events like the Fields BMW Grand Openings and RockStock for Rock 103.5, as well as coordinating State Delegation parties at the 1996 Democratic National Convention.
He continued his career at KBA Marketing, working on the Coors Light account, and then spent five years as Director of Marketing for Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, overseeing multiple locations and expanding their catering and mail-order business.
Since launching RLO, Richard has led projects like the $23M Kohl Children’s Museum and developed marketing strategies for clients such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Verizon Wireless, and Make-A-Wish Foundation. He has also spearheaded hundreds of charity events for organizations including Northwestern Hospital, March of Dimes, and Children’s Memorial Hospital.
During the pandemic, RLO anticipated a post-COVID shift toward corporate team-building events and has spent the last four years successfully growing this side of the business. Backed by a strong team of freelancers, RLO ensures every project is delivered on time and within budget.
